"I wonder if bomb-makers are insured for things like that", comments Bond (Daniel Craig) to his fellow agent Carter (Joseph Millson) in 2006's Casino Royale, just after noticing the burn scars on terrorist Mollaka's face. The terrorist was played by no other than Sébastien Foucan, an "ambassador" of the art of freerun, a newly created sport that mixes sprinting with acrobats. Sébastien was gentle enough to accept an online interview with the site telling our experiences in the role of Mollaka, which we deliver now.

How did you get involved in the film? Was it something related to your "free-running" experience?

I get involved in the film because they heard about me with the Jump London and Jump Britain documentary. In that sense, yes, it is related to my free-runing experience.

Have you been doubled by any stunt or you did all the action scenes?

I've been doubled for some sequences but most of them was myself. Unfortunately the crane-jump wasn't me.

In the script, your character has a brief dialogue with Bond in which he spits him in the face before introducing himself as Mollaka. Have you shot that scene or was directly discarded from the final print?

We shooted this sequence but it wasn't spited in Bond's face, but on the floor in front of him.

"I had a really nice but professional relationship (with Daniel Craig)".

Were you a Bond fan before getting the role of Mollaka?

I wasn't a fan, but I've got favourite Bond and Bond is so much known that everybody knows about him.

How was your relationship with Daniel Craig and (director) Martin Campbell?

I had a really nice but professional relationship.

What can you tell me about Parkour/Free Running? How have you came to being recognised as the founder of the sport?

Parkour/Freerunning is an art my firends and I developed when we were young and it is by natural fact I've been recognised as one of the founders, but I see myself more as a pioneer and ambassador.

"I've been doubled for some sequences but most of them was myself. Unfortunately the crane-jump wasn't me."

Do you consider Parkour an extreme or dangerous sport?

It is how you do it make what it is: Basically it is a risky dicipline but there are risks everywhere. Also some people practice it in an extreme way others don't. Some does dangerous things some don't. Don't misunderstand you can practice it in a safer way. You don't have to risk your life to practice it!

How much time did filming your scenes took?

Not sure how much time, don't remember... maybe three weeks, maybe more.

"James Bond is a legend and it's history, in a way, I'm part of that history!"

Four years after your participation in Casino Royale, do you feel proud of working in a Bond film?

Yes, even four years after and ceirtainly for all my life I am really proud of it! James Bond is a legend and it's history, in a way, I'm part of that history!

Have you ever tought in visiting our country? You'd find lots of places to show us our art...

I already came to Argentina, and it was fantastic Buenos Aires. I'd love to come again. Maybe one day, who knows?

We deliver a big thank you to Sébastien for taking the time for the interview!
