THE ENIGMATIC ERNST STAVRO BLOFELD
Among all the villains James Bond ever faced, there's one who stands above the rest: ERNST STAVRO BLOFELD, supreme leader of the organization known as S.P.E.C.T.R.E., this character of greek and polish descent was played by different actors throughout the 007 saga, some of them were seen on screen and others just heard or hinted at by a ring wearing hand stroking a white cat.
Let's recheck who these actors were, and finally reveal the unknown ones...
In From Russia With Love & Thunderball, the actor seen onscreen was Anthony Dawson, dubbed by Eric Pohlmann. Dawson played the part of Professor Dent in 007's first big screen film, Dr No. Pohlmann acted in many british series like The Saint, The Champions and Danger Man, and also in the film "The Return of the Pink Panther", where he played the role of "the fat man".

In "You Only Live Twice", Blofeld finally reveals his face to Bond, this time played by Donald Pleasence.
For "On Her Majesty's Secret Service", the role went to Telly Savalas, who later found fame playing Kojak on TV.
In "Diamonds Are Forever" Blofeld was played by Charles Gray (Henderson in "You Only Live Twice")

After many years the character reappeared in the "For Your Eyes Only" pre-credits sequence, this time on a wheelchair and played by John Hollis (uncredited), who appeared on the UK series The Saint and The Avengers, and also on the film "The Empire Strikes Back".
